Excellent highway, 4 laned, Toll roads. Bypasses Delhi and Gurgaon (Gurugram) and all the major cities too. Fully constructed.
All Tolls paid by debt card. A few toll keepers were hesitant at the amounts of 14Rs and 30Rs being paid by card but we had a long way to go. Even the Autorickshaw guy had PayTm.

DAY 2:PUNE READY OR NOT HERE WE COME
TOTAL KMS: 891. UDAIPUR TO RISHABHDEV TO HIMMATNAGAR TO GANDHINAGAR TO AMHEDABAD TO VADODRA TO VALSAD TO THANE TO NAVI MUMBAI TO PUNE
We did not need the city to city distance details as at regular intervals there were direction boards with kms. Though we did miss the traditional milestones with Green and Yellow tops.

DAY 3: GOD : GOA : GABBAR
Pune to Satara 127 kms (flyover under construction with frequent traffic jams) to Khlapur 122 kms to Tawandi 45 kms turn right to Amboli 74kms to Bonda 38kms to Mapusa 33kms to Panjim 16kms ) Shorter, scenic and well labeled even though the roads are smaller and at times bumpy.Alternate Route was to Belgavi 114kms to Sanquelim 93km to Panjm 31kms. Better highway, toll roads, time taken similar. goes through Old Goa

(Apart from the smooth asphalted roads it was the narrow roads with heavy traffic of trucks, buses and sugarcane tractors that did not let us pick up the pace)
DAY 5: INDORE (MINI MUMBAI)SHIRDI TO INDORE
via Malegaon 95 kms to Dhule 53 kms to Sendhwa fort 101 kms to Mhow 129 kms to Indore 24 kms.
TOTAL: 406 KMS
AVERAGE SPEED: 65KMS/HR
DAY 6:INDORE TO LUDHIANAINDORE TO LUDHIANA
TOTAL: 1206 KMS
AVERAGE SPEED: 57KM/HR
Indore to Ujjain to Kota to Shivpuri to Gwalior to Agra to Delhi to Ludhiana
Google maps will tell you a better, faster, shorter route. It is good to have local information, as the Bombay Agra highway that the maps show was in lost somewhere in the pot holes. Instead we took the above mentioned route via the interiors of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. And it was shorter, faster and better 
Surprisingly we met something that was totally unexpected. FOG!!!
